Why in the hell would you mod something to this extent that sees no benefit from it? As far as I know, even a cracked PS3 can't be overclocked. So this is essentially worthless.

I'unno, I probably wouldn't mind a watercooled PS3 so it wouldn't be loud and annoying with the fans most of the time. I already had to put my PS3 on a stack just to get more airflow, this is something I might do.

If you have the stuff "laying around" then it'd be okay. But if you're buying parts to do this, definitely not worth it. Simply opening the case up, and moving the components to a decent media PC case with better airflow and positive air pressure would do wonders.

If a motor can run being air cooled then so can a PS3 lol. No liquid necessary.

... I've had bad experiences to the point that anything that's aircooled = no go, since my room has a tendency to heat up like nobody's business. My old PC with only air cooled components? Crashed at Saint's Row. I don't feel like opening the case up and putting my huge fan right next to it.

It's loud and unnecessary, and the aircooled components got to go.

Here's what you do...

Buy a dryer vent outlet.
Drill a hole through an exterior wall.
Vent PC exhaust to dryer vent.
Voila.

I feel your pain. My office is currently bombarded by two PCs, a half rack server in the closet, and a TV thats much too large for a 10x10 room. Add some misted water and its an instant sauna.

That's what I nearly did, though I didn't drill a hole through the wall - I merely opened a window, attached my big fan to it and relocated my PC closer. Mind you, this was AFTER I converted my PC.

My only issue with liquid cooling is it looks messy most of the time. Especially if you're cooling more than just the CPU. Although the L3p D3sk is pretty cool looking, and I'd definitely make one of my own if I had the cash. But for a normal PC, mehh.

I have an Alienware Aurora my dad bought a little while back and there is just too much going on inside for my taste. It always seems like with liquid cooling you either get a giant case or a small case with a cluster of coolant lines inside.
